A Beautiful Day in The Neighborhood

It was a beautiful day in San Francisco, one that I expected to be very cold and wet.  However, it was far from that.  There wasn't a cloud in the sky and I was so bundled up from fear of freezing that I ended up overheating (well, indoors that is).

Coit Tower

San Francisco honey...I bought some last time and it was delicious!!

Ok, a few small tiny puff clouds...

Mr. Pelican, what an adorable poser.  He didn't budge from his spot and he would turn is head back and forth, to make sure everyone saw/got his best angles.  He also had a very cute fuzzy head :)  I've never seen one close up, so this was amazing.

One of my favorite places and where I call home...

Merry Christmas

To all those celebrating, Merry Christmas. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday with family and friends, wherever you may be.

I have taken 2 whole weeks off from life (ha!) and I'm spending it with family. Although, there is much to prepare for next quarter (I have tons to read), I am procrastinating to the core. No surprise there.

I spent the day with one of my favorite people in the world, my moms cousin.  It was a lovely day and a wonderful Christmas.  Although as a muslim, I don't celebrate Christmas, we still join in on the festivities to celebrate it with those that do.  I have fun getting presents for others and enjoying all the beautiful lights and decorations everywhere.  My favorite part of the holiday though: family time (let me also add: no traffic anywhere)!

Will you please just let me sleep...thank you!

It was a beautiful cold rainy day in San Francisco.

Merry Christmas!!

Present Preps

The day before Christmas was spent with last minute gift preparations :) I made some little tags as well for some of the gifts. There's something to be said about beautiful paper and colorful ribbon.  It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, especially on a cold rainy day.

Glass Jewelry Box

On one of my weekly stops by my local TJMaxx I came across this BEAUTIFUL mirrored jewelry box from Tahari home collection.  It was so pretty and the price was so good, I just had to have it.  Now, in this tiny apartment of mine I have no room for even myself, but I just had to bring it home.  I know my husband deep down is trying to figure out the best method of "intervention for the insanely addicted shopper".

I bought this tile coaster a long time ago and I always keep it by my bedside.  Whenever I'm having one of those days, I remember that whatever it was that made you upset, hurt and cry will get better over time.

Never a tear bedims the eye, that time and
patience will not dry.
