Our 4th Anniversary

This past Friday was our 4th anniversary.  I can't believe its been 4 years.  It stills feels like yesterday. Here are some pictures of our date night!

Organic Vegetarian/Vegan Food

The night was cloudy and cool, but not cold enough to sit outside.

Sweet onion jam (it was actually really good)

The food was AMAZING, just AMAZING!

Spice "Jar"...tooo cute!

These were handmade soy candles with aloe.  The owner told us if you pour the wax into your hands, it's like a lotion.  So I made the hubby try it first (I was chicken), and he was right, it was just like lotion.

Pomme D'Amour Tea from Paris.  It was lovely! :)

I love my birdie card!

It was a great and relaxing night.  Many thanks to the hubby for everything! I hate it when all great things come to an end.

Fairy Garden

What a cute idea.  A little garden for the fairy's. You never know, if you have a garden, maybe one of them will come by for a visit :)

This cute etsy shop has everything you need to get you started on your very first fairy's garden! :)

Closet Inspiration

A nice walk-in closet would be amazing.  I could do so much with a nice closet.

I have a confession to make.  I have too much stuff.  Living in a small apartment really is hard when you have too much STUFF.  I used to be so organized (I still am sometimes), but lately its just too hard to put things back because everything is so crammed and stuffed in small spaces.  My closet for instance is in need of a major overhaul.  It is so packed with clothes, purses and STUFF, that I can't find anything that I need and I don't bother putting things away because its too difficult.  I don't know how my husband turns a blind eye to it.  If I were him, I would have had it with me.  I'm tired of stuffing things and I know I own to much (I can't help it...school makes me shop).  I am planning on making time this weekend to really get in there and get rid of things I don't need/wear to make more room, so I don't have to stuff things away any longer (hopefully not make room for more things that I am not planning on buying).  I know I'm going to end up sending things back with my parents when they visit, haha...but I really need to try not to do that and just get rid of it.  If I haven't worn it in the last few years...its out (I say that, but it never happens).

How do people do it with small spaces?

My dream closets.  Some day...sigh...

DIY Before and After

I just love before and after pictures.  Here are a few great examples of a hutch (china cabinet) and dresser made to look new and even better than before.  I wish I was this talented and creative! I just looooove what they have become. Amazing what a little paint can do!

Snippets of the week

Here are a few pictures from my busy week.

At the mosque

The 2 best things, tea and a Luna bar (Chocolate Raspberry)

Gorgeous tulips at the Pure Barre studio

Too cute!

A friends graduation dinner party

Her dad loves fish too! Notice the 2 smaller tanks inside the larger tank...

This one has a "quarantined" pregnant fish to prevent the other fish from attacking her.

This mini tank houses baby fish. They had baby fish...oh my gosh...

Walking across the medical campus, I came across a Stroke Picnic for support and awareness of stroke victims.

I want Dr. Weinburg's book....he (as I see it) is the cancer guru. His book costs $150! :(

Saturday morning Cancer Symposium, of which I missed all but 1 speech
(there were 6 total).

DIY Cord Labels/Organizer

We've all had those moments when you need to unplug something from the surge protector and there are 50 cords (well more like 6) and you don't know which is which.  You yell for help while you tug all the cords to see what gets yanked or dragged to the edge of the table and then you have your voila moment when you've tugged the right one.  All in all, taking you an annoying 5-10 minutes of your life.  Well...be annoyed no longer...here is a great idea to label those cords using none other than bread bag ties!

I actually hate those bread bag ties and I get rid of them immediately when I open a package of bread.  My husband on the other hand reuses them to tie the bread bag, but I hate it...probably because I can't get it to tie the way it was initially, so I find no point in using them.  They also break easily.  But this idea is so brilliant  and organized that I'm ashamed its not my own.

Cheap, free and brilliant Cord Labels

Another way to label your cords, are with these super cute Cable Guys.  How awesome are these??
