DIY Tea Bags

How cute is this idea from Cupcakes and Cashmere.  This is something I really want to try, but alas, it's a matter of time.  It's a great gift idea, but I'm also thinking of making tea bags pour moi.  Tea bags are expensive, and I use them a lot when I'm at work (sometimes 2-3 a day...yes I know, re-use the tea bag, but it tastes different after the first soak).

I have a few ideas lined up for this weekend (work avoidance at it's finest), so this may just be one of them :)

Fold filter, sew edges, add tea, add a tag and VOILA, tea bags avec cuteness!

Latest Obsession

I think I have a new obsession for blue and white china...uh oh!!!  I recently bought a set of four teapot shaped saucers/teabag holders with a beautiful blue peacock pattern on it.  I think the color matches my small collection of blue and white china really nicely, which is starting to slowly grow :D

This is a teacup with a small lid, which I use as a sugar cube dish.

Tea For My Soul

Tea, Chai, Le Thé, چای...however you pronounce it, it is one amazing drink.
I drink tea in the morning to give me that needed boost to wake me up.  It is the first thing I do, even before both my eyes are open.  I drag my sleepy one eyed self to the hot water kettle and turn it on and then go on with my morning routine. I drink tea during the day when I can't think of anything to do, when I need to de-stress, when the weather is cold, hot, rainy, or bright and I even drink it before I go to bed to help me sleep.  It is my go to drink, reviving me and calming me, bringing a smile to my soul.

If I actually drank as much water as I do tea, I would probably have flawless health...

Here is my life line:

I am on the search for super cute and unique teacups.  I have yet to find any, but am totally in love with these:

Sigh...
