I think I have a new obsession for blue and white china...uh oh!!! I recently bought a set of four teapot shaped saucers/teabag holders with a beautiful blue peacock pattern on it. I think the color matches my small collection of blue and white china really nicely, which is starting to slowly grow :D
This is a teacup with a small lid, which I use as a sugar cube dish.
I live in sunny SoCal, and have barely worn a coat in the years i've been down here. But, that has not stopped me from splurging on warm fuzzy coats, HA! That being said, I am in LOVE with these coats. There's just something amazing about a warm, long, beautiful coat to make you feel chic! Sigh...
I have a cute polka dot case for my iPhone, but I wanted something a bit different and more fitting for the fall season. I came across this great website that has super cool looking cases. The price is a bit more than I want to pay, especially for something that doesn't have that much "protection", but I am in love with some of these designs and HAVE to have one.
I'm torn between these...there are just too many options...sigh...
Want a brilliant idea for what to do with a leftover or broken zipper? Turn it into a beautiful bracelet!
I came across this blog...in Italian, (of which I understood everything) about turning a broken zipper into a bracelet or collar for a furry friend. I think it's a marvelous idea (said with a british accent) and I am really interested in trying it out. I think this is something I can definitely see myself doing over Christmas break.
So last night was water changing time. I change their water and filter every month, but this month, given the record breaking heat wave we've had, the water was extra dirty and extra algae-ish (my new word). I usually don't take out all the plants, but this time, everything was covered in a dark green hue, so they needed washing.
Mag Float (Magic Algae Eraser) cleaning the algae off the glass. This thing is AWESOME!
Here comes the vacuum...they love this thing. They follow it everywhere and it drives me nuts. I can't get anything done when they keep coming around.
Fixing the plants that came apart during washing.
Replacing foliage :D
I have to stand on a stool to see what I'm doing. Backbreaking, let me tell you...
Filled with fresh water. I usually let it sit out for a few days to dechlorinate, even though I add a dechlorinator.
2 hours later...and Voila! Now, the cleanup and complete sanitation of the kitchen, kitchen sink and kitchen floors...arg...
Look at those innocent faces...as if they have nothing to do with the mess and back breaking work...sigh...
